Ruen Drilling
Ruen Drilling, Inc., in operation for nearly 30 years, with offices in North and South America and Hong Kong, specializes in geotechnical drilling relating to tunnel design. Their work includes horizontal and inclined coring, utilizing in-hole steering motors, survey tools, and related in-hole testing and instrumentation.
In Hong Kong, Ruen drilled tunnel alignments for Routes 9 and 10, performing 500m. horizontal coring, impression packer tests and televiewing. These jobs were totally helicopter supported. Ruen is currently drilling horizontal and inclined holes on the PR-53 Mariani Tunnel Project in Puerto Rico.
Other geotechnical drilling includes: Inland Feeder and Diamond Valley Reservoir tunnels, Sound Transit in Seattle, Tri Met in Portland, and the San Vicente alignment where difficult conglomerates were cored.
