Since Covid-19 and the challenges of New Miner and 8-Hour Refresher/Experienced Miner classes still in demand, Jeff Marler had to take a real hard look at an alternative way of instructing yet meeting all the requirements of MSHA-mandated material.
Jeff is an instructor at Arizona State University Polytechnic Campus in Mesa, but all classrooms were shut down, putting an end to live interactive classes. Since going virtual, Jeff has had several MSHA instructors from the Educational Field & Small Mine Services (EFSMS). They have all approved his training and have accepted his revised Training Plan as a certified Co-op instructor with the U.S. Department of Labor.
