Tech Parks Arizona creates the interactive ground that generates, attracts and retains technology companies and talent in alignment with the research, mission and goals of the University of Arizona. Tech Parks Arizona directs the UA Tech Park at Rita Road, the UA Tech Park at The Bridges and the business incubator, the University of Arizona Center for Innovation.
The UA Tech Park at Rita Road is a dynamic, interactive community where innovators and business leaders meet, where emerging companies and technology giants work side by side. It is one of the largest employment centers in the region hosting 52 companies and organizations that employ 6,000 knowledge workers. The UA Tech Park and its resident companies have an annual economic impact of $2.0 billion on the state. The bi-annual economic impact report also reflects that the Tech Park is a center for high wage jobs. The average wage of a worker at a UA Tech Park tenant is $74,028, which is significantly more than the Pima County average of $47,327. The UA Tech Park was also voted best workplace for both innovation and best culture by the People’s Choice Awards organized by the Arizona Daily Star.
The University of Arizona is Arizona’s longest continuously running incubator which is located at the UA Tech Park and has an outpost in Vail at the Vail Chamber’s connections office.
