Gallagher & Kennedy’s environmental practice group is dynamic and broad, representing trade associations and companies engaged in mining, semiconductor, utility, manufacturing, technology, real estate, and financial services in multiple states.
Our environmental attorneys have extensive experience in solving sophisticated environmental problems. Members of the practice group handle air and water quality permitting and compliance, water rights and management, solid and hazardous waste compliance, and NEPA and endangered species projects. Our attorneys also have in-depth experience addressing state and federal Superfund liability, defending and settling government enforcement actions, supporting environmental due diligence, and managing environmental risks in real estate transactions. Federal and state legislative and administrative lobbying is an important part of their practice, including environmental litigation, both administrative and in the courts.
Of particular note, for more than four decades, our professionals have supported operating mines and mineral processing plants with permitting and environmental compliance at dozens of sites in multiple states and on tribal lands. They have also represented mining and mineral processing clients with the remediation and reclamation of hundreds of sites in 39 states and on several Native American nations.
