Smyth Industries, Inc. has been serving the water and reclamation industry throughout Arizona and the Southwest since the company’s inception as Smyth Steel Manufacturing in 1980. We’ve grown from our steel tank fabrication and specialty manufacturing origins, into a full-service water and reclamation industry General Contractor over those years. Self-performing the majority of construction disciplines on our projects allows us to provide our clients continuity from engineering through construction and final commissioning.
Storage Tanks
Steel storage tank construction is at the roots of Smyth Industries. Our staff has gained valuable expertise in tank construction through many years of fabrication, erection, and rehabilitation projects, both big and small. We provide ground and elevated storage installations, as well as temporary solutions and other creative problem-solving for water industry clients.
Pumps and Water Wells
Smyth provides a wide array of services related to wells and pumping systems for municipal, industrial and agricultural applications. We are licensed/registered through the Arizona Department of Water Resources and the National Groundwater Association. Our experienced personnel can provide everything from new well and pump installations, to assessment, testing, and repairs/rehabilitation of both well casings and the associated pumping equipment.
Pressure and Surge Vessels
Smyth offers full-service engineering and construction services for hydropneumatic, pressure, and surge tank system design, fabrication, and installation. We’ve built tanks as small as 50 gallons and as large as 36,000 gallons in capacity, and have been manufacturing these types of vessels since the early days of the company.
Industrial Coatings
Smyth provides high quality coating systems for storage tanks and vessels, and for fabricated equipment and installations. Industrial coatings are an integral part of the fabrication and installation of storage tanks and pressure vessels, and Smyth provides a great benefit and value to our clients by having this service available in-house.
Electrical and Controls
Smyth holds a specialty #ROC171540 C-11 Electrical License AZ , and has experienced electricians providing new installations and rehabilitations for the water and reclamation industry. Our panel shop is UL 508A certified, giving us the ability to build our own electrical panels.
We also provide custom control systems and PLC programming, including turnkey booster station control solutions with Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) technology tailored specifically to the water resource industry.
